About Poster House

Poster House is an indoor museum event venue in New York’s Flatiron District, occupying a renovated, nearly 15,000-square-foot building across two floors. Its interior retains exposed brick, barrel vaults and cast-iron columns alongside contemporary finishes. Private rentals include the museum’s public areas and galleries, with more than 5,000 square feet available for events. The museum accommodates 275 standing or 60–80 seated and is suited to cocktail receptions, seated meals, panels and celebrations including rehearsal dinners. Semi-private Happy Hour rentals provide exclusive use of the 24th Street lobby and gallery access for groups of up to 70. Events include basic staffing, security, cleanup and AV access; the AV system includes a PA, portable LED screens, customizable lighting and a digital projector. Great Performances is the exclusive catering partner, with custom menus and beer, wine and full-bar packages; outside catering may be allowed case by case for an additional fee. Food and beverages are not included in the base rental. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with an elevator, an accessible restroom on each floor, gender-neutral restrooms, and radio-frequency devices, large-text labels, stools and wheelchairs available on site.

Pricing note

The base fee for a three-hour private event is $5,000; additional hours cost extra. Food and beverages are not included. Semi-private Happy Hour rentals cost $200 per hour plus $10 per attendee, including one drink ticket, with a one-hour minimum. Individuals need a Poster House membership, whose fee is subtracted from the base rental fee; organizations can pay the base fee directly or use qualifying Corporate Membership benefits. Rental fees are due in full 30 days before the event, or at agreement signing for bookings made within 30 days. Rentals are nonrefundable, though staff will work with clients to find another date. Event insurance is required; political fundraising events are not accommodated.
