The German-American Heritage Museum of the USA is housed in a building once known as Hockemeyer Hall, an 1888 Victorian townhouse at 719 6th Street NW in Washington's Penn Quarter, a commercial neighborhood. The second floor holds an exhibit hall of about 1,200 square feet with a newly installed bamboo-fiber floor. The museum is available for rental for cultural functions, lectures, private and corporate receptions, client and employee appreciations, award ceremonies and holiday parties. The exhibit hall is set up for presentations, with a built-in projector connected to a speaker system and an adjustable screen, and foldable conference tables and chairs that can be configured to the renter's needs. For a cocktail reception the room is listed for up to 100 people, with equipment that includes 60 chairs, 7 cocktail tables, eight 6-foot rectangular folding tables, AV, and a speaker's podium with microphone. Nearby parking and Metro access at Gallery Place are available.

Pricing note

Rental rates are per hour. Regular rates: daytime (9 am–5 pm, two-hour minimum) $200; evening (5–9 pm, two-hour minimum) $300; after 9 pm until 11 pm at the latest $350. Non-profit rates: daytime $125; evening $225; after 9 pm until 11 pm $275. Tables, chairs and AV use are included in the rental rate. A refundable $500 security deposit applies. A 15% discount applies after three or more rentals in a 12-month period.
