Winterthur Weddings and Events offers wedding settings across a large Brandywine Valley estate, with rolling meadows, woodlands, a 60-acre garden and the former mansion of Henry Francis du Pont as a backdrop. Event locations include historic indoor spaces, outdoor garden settings, pavilions and terraces. Couples can hold ceremonies and receptions in different spaces, including the Reflecting Pool, Visitor Center, Galleries Reception Area and Clenny Run Lawn; the listed ceremony capacity reaches 500 at Clenny Run Lawn. The spaces offer varied settings, from the Reflecting Pool’s garden views to the Visitor Center’s glass walls overlooking ponds and landscape, and the Galleries Reception Area’s bright interior and slate patios. Restaurant Associates is Winterthur’s exclusive caterer, with customizable menus and wedding packages. On-site parking and shuttle transport between the parking lot and selected event locations are available.

Pricing note

Listed facility rentals range from $1,700 to $15,000 per location, depending on space, day and season. Some spaces also require a Friends of Winterthur or Benefactor membership fee. The fee schedule says prices are valid through 2026; rental is charged for each location used. Catering minimums are separate from rental fees.
