The Charles River Speedway

About The Charles River Speedway

The Charles River Speedway is a historic marketplace in Brighton with a central courtyard, food and drink businesses, shops, and community events. Its wedding-capable spaces include Garage B, a converted 1940s garage in the lower courtyard, and The Annex, a separate 1,000-square-foot private-event room in the central courtyard that is auxiliary to Garage B. Garage B's large doors open onto the courtyard for indoor and outdoor layouts. The Annex accommodates 30 seated or 50 standing guests and offers natural light, hardwood floors, customizable lighting, sound, WiFi, a kitchenette, gender-neutral restrooms, heating and air-conditioning, and optional lounge furniture. Wedding uses listed for The Annex include showers, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, bridal suites, and formal photography. Neighboring vendors and preferred event partners provide food and beverage options. The Annex may be booked by itself or as a discounted full-day extension to a Garage B booking. The complex also offers private or semi-private events through Notch Brewing and The Koji Club. Visitor amenities include a 26-space first-come, first-served lot, neighborhood parking, bike parking, and access by bus routes 70 and 86 and a 0.7-mile walk from Boston Landing Commuter Rail. The site is family-friendly; dogs are allowed outdoors on leash, alcohol-serving areas become 21+ after 8 p.m., and alcohol service is subject to separate license-area restrictions.
