NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale is an art museum in downtown Fort Lauderdale on Las Olas Boulevard, midway between Miami and Palm Beach. Its 83,000-square-foot building, designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes and opened in 1986, contains more than 25,000 square feet of exhibition space. The museum also makes several of its spaces available for private events, including dinners, receptions, meetings, conferences, presentations and performances. The rentable spaces are an outdoor second-floor terrace overlooking Las Olas Boulevard, the first-floor lobby and breezeway, a 256-seat auditorium with sound and video equipment, a stage and a piano, and a third-floor boardroom. The terrace accommodates 150 guests for dinner or 200 for a reception. The lobby and breezeway accommodate 100 for dinner or 200 for a reception. The boardroom holds 30. Team-building art classes led by professional art instructors can also be arranged for groups.
