About Haywood Hall House and Gardens

Haywood Hall is a historic home and garden venue in downtown Raleigh’s Historic District. Weddings can use the front lawn for ceremonies, the surrounding gardens for cocktail hour, and the garden patio for tented receptions. The historic house offers indoor cocktail receptions, while the lawn and tented garden provide outdoor options. A bridal suite and groom suite are available for preparations; each includes a private bathroom and four hours of pre-ceremony access. The venue provides an on-site host, a one-hour daytime photography session, and a one-hour rehearsal for couples marrying there. Couples may select their own licensed, insured caterer with venue approval, and must use a venue-approved planner or professional day-of coordinator. A tent is required for outdoor receptions, and tent, dance floor, tables, chairs, and market lights are rented separately. Public parking is across the street, free on weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
