About Historic Market Hall

Historic Market Hall is a restored venue in downtown Raleigh’s City Market, with historic brick, exposed beams and tall windows. Its two connected indoor rooms, Park View and Market View, can be separated by a sliding wall or opened together for ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions. Market View accommodates up to 300 seated guests with a DJ and dance floor, or up to 400 cocktail-style; with a band and dance floor, it accommodates up to 250 seated or 350 cocktail-style. Park View accommodates ceremonies for up to 200, while Market View accommodates up to 400. For cocktail hour, Park View holds up to 220, the covered Blake Street Patio up to 80, and a street closure extends outdoor space onto Blake Street for up to 300. Two upstairs private wedding suites, each approximately 1,000 square feet, seat up to 20 and include lounge and dining areas, a private restroom, stocked fridge and coffee maker. Park View Suite has a stone fireplace and hair and makeup stations; Market View Suite has a foosball table. Chef-prepared lunch is included, with the offerings differing between suites. In-house catering and bar service are available, with American Southern menus, private tastings and buffet, plated or station service. The main level and restrooms are accessible; the suites are reachable only by stairs. Public parking is available within two blocks, and several downtown hotels are about a seven-minute walk away.
