Set in Greenwood Park, the Des Moines Art Center’s three architecturally distinct buildings provide indoor and outdoor settings for weddings and other events. Options include the Saarinen-designed Macomber Lobby with access to the Bookey Family Courtyard and Maytag Reflecting Pool, the Art Center Café with courtyard access when weather allows, and the outdoor Richard Meier Patio, which is offered for wedding ceremonies and welcome cocktails. The lobby and café spaces also support receptions and dinners; the 220-seat Levitt Auditorium is described for performances, lectures, and similar events. Couples can use preferred caterers, arrange bar service through the Art Center, and add private access to exhibitions and collections. Rentals include equipment setup and teardown, security, and maintenance; free on-site parking is available.
