Surety Hotel
Wedding venue in Des Moines, Iowa
About Surety Hotel
Set in a restored 1913 Beaux-Arts bank building in downtown Des Moines, Surety Hotel offers wedding celebrations with food and drink catering, a dedicated wedding specialist, and guestrooms for guests. The Surety Ballroom accommodates up to 150 people and features original bank-vault doors, decorative plaster molding, and chandeliers; the adjoining Solarium provides pre-function space. The naturally lit Solarium, with exposed brick and a glass skylight, is also described for ceremonies and cocktail receptions. Other options include the Mulberry Street Tavern, lobby, and courtyard for wedding gatherings, with the courtyard available as an extension of a restaurant buyout. The hotel offers guest room discounts for wedding parties, suite offerings, menu tastings, floor plan creation, and coordination support. Self-parking is available across the street, with a discounted guest rate when validated at the front desk.
