About Conservatory Garden

The Conservatory Garden is a six-acre formal garden in Central Park, set just beyond Fifth Avenue between 104th and 105th Streets and entered through the ornate Vanderbilt Gate. It is made up of three distinct gardens: a French-style North Garden with the Untermyer Fountain and its Three Dancing Maidens sculpture, an Italianate Center Garden with a central lawn, flowering crabapple allées and a single-jet fountain, and an English-style South Garden with concentric planting beds and a lily pool beside the Burnett Fountain. A rotating display of flowers runs from early spring through late October. The garden hosts wedding ceremonies, proposals and photography sessions by permit.
