About City Museum

In downtown St. Louis, City Museum occupies a former shoe warehouse with indoor, outdoor and underground areas. It rents event spaces for weddings and other gatherings, with venue capacities ranging from 25 to 4,000 depending on the event; admission to the museum is included for the event day. The First Floor and Mezzanine combine mosaics, an aquarium, a tree stage and a dance floor. The Vault Room features historic St. Louis details, a mirrored hallway and a marble bar, while Architecture Hall contains salvaged architectural pieces, a period bar and a hardwood dance floor. Cabin Inn is an early 19th-century log cabin beneath MonstroCity, with an adjoining brick patio available weather permitting. The 10th-floor Corner Office is a quieter conference room overlooking the building’s southeast corner. Rooftop access is not included but may be added for a fee from March through October, weather permitting. The museum offers catering and beverage options and works with area caterers; outside caterers are not permitted in the Corner Office. Elevators, rampways and ADA entrances and exits are available upon request.

Current rental prices are not stated; contact the events team for availability and pricing. General admission is included on the event day. Rooftop access may be added for a fee from March through October, weather permitting; admission during nonoperating hours incurs an additional staffing fee. One date in one room may be held for up to two weeks without contract or payment. Booking requires a signed contract and nonrefundable deposit. Reserved events may be rescheduled to an available date within one year but may not be canceled.
