The cheaper venue
Two first lines, two venues. One of them is fooling you. Maybe both.
The question
Two venues, and I’m making the numbers up to make a point. Say the first charges $3,000 for the room but you have to spend $12,000 on their food. The second charges $8,000, throws in tables, chairs, linens and a coordinator, and lets you bring any caterer you like. Quick, gut answer: which one is cheaper?
- The $3,000 one. Obviously.
- The $8,000 one. Look at everything it includes.
- Neither, yet. Same worksheet for both, then we talk.

The careful version: Compare venues by total event cost, not the rental fee.
This one is part of Venue IQ and of the test.
