About Wood Island Life Saving Station
Wood Island Life Saving Station is a restored historic maritime site on a small island at the meeting of the Piscataqua River and the Atlantic Ocean. The museum and grounds host private events, including weddings, on a limited number of summer and fall dates. The station is accessible by boat only, so hosts must arrange transportation by charter or private boat. Event rentals include the building and grounds, restrooms, tables, chairs, tablecloths, audiovisual equipment, power, Wi-Fi and cleaning. The island and station’s first floor are accessible to visitors with mobility challenges.

Full museum closure on operating days (Thursday through Sunday) costs an additional $1,500 per day; events exceeding their scheduled duration cost $500 per hour. Transportation, catering and bartending, planning, extra staff, tents, dinnerware and event insurance are excluded from the rental fee.
