Whippoorwill Hill

About Whippoorwill Hill

Set on a secluded 156-acre working farm six miles south of downtown Bloomington, Whippoorwill Hill combines rolling countryside and historic farm structures with a restored wedding barn. The main barn has 5,470 square feet of interior space and two porches, with an additional 3,760 square feet of covered area. Weddings can use indoor, covered, or outdoor ceremony locations, with reception space for up to 300 guests. Wedding rentals include exclusive use of the venue and surrounding grounds, tables, Chiavari chairs and cushions, décor, furniture setup, fire pits, and on-site venue support. The venue allows clients to choose their own vendors, including catering and bar providers. The barn is not insulated; its bathrooms, foyer, and kitchen have central heating and air conditioning, while the barn uses temporary propane heaters, fans, and evaporative coolers. The venue provides accessible parking, ADA-compliant restrooms, and step-free access for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Nearby lodging is available in Bloomington; the venue also identifies the Sanders Store and Tate-Tatum House as spaces for wedding-day preparation.
