About Turtle's 1890 Social Centre

Turtle’s 1890 Social Centre is a renovated historic event space in downtown Shakopee, in a building dating to the late 1800s. Its documented interior features include an antique mahogany bar, a decorative metal ceiling and turn-of-the-century design. The venue hosts weddings, including ceremonies and receptions; it can convert the room between the two, with an additional ceremony charge. Its stated capacity is 250 guests. Room rental includes tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, flatware, setup, a dance floor, bar and staffing. The venue provides event food through its on-site chef, with custom menus available; wedding cake and favors are exceptions to its food provision policy. Bar options include wine, beer, punch and soda. Free parking is available in a lot across from the venue and on surrounding streets. The venue also offers planning guidance and a planning meeting to discuss menu, room layout, timeline and decorating.
