About The Sonnet House

Set on 19 acres along the Little Cahaba River, The Sonnet House is a restored 1918 farmhouse used for weddings and other events. Couples can hold ceremonies indoors or outdoors, with outdoor ceremonies the more common choice. The venue’s chapel seats 230 and can serve as a ceremony backup or provide heated or air-conditioned reception seating. Receptions can use the courtyard and patio, with additional indoor seating in the chapel. The venue offers catering, floral design and decor, wedding planning, and linens; tours are available by appointment.
