The Rustic Rose Barn
Wedding venue in Roland, Iowa
About The Rustic Rose Barn
The Rustic Rose Barn is a century-old barn venue in the countryside north of Ames, with hand-hewn pegged beams, fieldstone walls and an open interior beneath a 25-foot peak. Weddings can use the barn for ceremonies and receptions, with an outdoor ceremony area, deck and pergola, and a small lake and horses on the grounds. The venue offers a three-day wedding rental, from Friday noon through Sunday noon, with up to 350 guests. The barn has air conditioning and radiant heat, a bridal suite and groom’s dressing room, a catering kitchen, tables, chairs and linens, décor, event setup and cleanup, planning consultations and an on-site manager. Couples may choose their own vendors and provide their own food; bar staff and security are available, with hosted, cash or combined bar options. Animal guests are welcome, and dog boarding and bathing are available on site. A shuttle to nearby Story City hotels is available for a rental fee.
