About The Nelson Event Center

The Nelson Event Center is a beautifully renovated, mid-century modern function room at 225 Niantic Ave in Cranston, Rhode Island. It is attached to Lang's Bowlarama but has its own separate entrance, restrooms and bar. Its neutral color palette is meant to work with a wide range of themes and décor. When the room is rented, the renter has use of the entire space and its restrooms, and no other guests of the attached bowling center can enter during the booking. The room seats 75 for a traditional seated event or accommodates up to 100 for a cocktail-style gathering. Equipment includes a 16 ft projection screen for slideshows and presentations, a wireless microphone, round and rectangular banquet tables with black linen, and upgraded linen options. A dedicated host is provided. Catering ranges from a pub menu to full-scale buffet and plated-style options, and a full bar is available. The space is documented for rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, engagement parties, showers, corporate and team-building events, and sweet 16 celebrations.
