The Kendall Hotel is a boutique hotel in Kendall Square, Cambridge, occupying a restored 1895 Engine 7 firehouse that began welcoming guests in 2002. Private events are held in three on-site spaces. Engine 7, a private meeting and dining room that displays original firehouse signage, seats up to 15 in board-style seating. The Rooftop Retreat, 418 square feet, holds up to 35 for a cocktail party or 15 for a meeting and can be configured for conference-style setups or open-space receptions. The Black Sheep Restaurant, on the street level with a full bar, has a listed capacity of 40 and reaches 60 when its outdoor patio is included. Catering is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and private dining includes paired wines and custom printed menus. On-site AV includes a projector with screen and a 75-inch HDTV. Outside food is not permitted for on-site events. Overnight guests stay in rooms and suites furnished with restored antiques and original artwork, including a one-bedroom suite with a full kitchen and three ADA-accessible rooms. Breakfast is included with stays, and a $25 nightly destination fee plus tax applies.
