The Historic Meeting House At New Garden

Wedding venue in Fountain City, Indiana

About The Historic Meeting House At New Garden

Set on five acres of wooded, gently rolling land beside Fountain Creek, the 1858 Meeting House offers a naturally lit sanctuary with 180 seats and acoustics suited to ceremonies. Couples may choose indoor or outdoor ceremony settings, with an outdoor ceremony able to move indoors if weather requires. The sanctuary includes oak pews, Wi-Fi, a video screen, wireless sound, air conditioning and central heat; a keyboard, organ and piano are also noted among the property's equipment. The wedding rental agreement covers rehearsal activities the night before and the ceremony day. Weddings are offered as Christian ceremonies and are open to members and non-members. The Meeting House's Fellowship Hall seats 40 for a sit-down dinner and can accommodate more for open-house style parties, with access to the outdoor grounds for gathering and recreation. The adjacent four-bedroom Guest Home sleeps eight and is available for overnight lodging. The grounds include a firepit with firewood, outdoor furniture, croquet and a volleyball net.
