STORIED is a historic event venue in West Chelsea, New York City, at 547 West 26th Street, next to the High Line. The building was one of the city's first taxi garages in the early 1900s. Later it was Annie Leibovitz's home and studio, a studio for Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, and most recently Chelsea Factory, and it now operates as STORIED, hosting events. The main venue is on the ground floor, about 4,992 square feet within a full building of 8,675 square feet. The space offers natural light, peaked gable ceilings, raked seating, a retractable partition wall, a box truss system, and an oversized street-level load-in. Two greenrooms, two coat check rooms and renovated restrooms are included. Listed capacities are 300 guests seated and 550 guests for a reception. Catering is provided in-house by MGCE and audio-visual by Eighty Pro, and outside caterers can be considered on request. The venue hosts corporate, social and non-profit events.
