About Rooke Chapel

Rooke Chapel is Bucknell’s main venue for worship, weddings and spiritual celebrations. The Georgian colonial-style main chapel has a narthex, sanctuary, chancel area, organ chamber, choir rooms and balconies surrounding the sanctuary on three sides, with seating for approximately 700 across the sanctuary and balconies. Wedding reservations are subject to availability and University approval. An attached one-story wing contains the Office of Religious Life, the University Chaplain’s office, a meditation chapel and a kitchen. The chapel also features a three-manual Reuter organ and brushed steel chancel screens depicting Moses, Jesus and other Jewish and Christian symbols. Accessible parking is available in the Stadium Drive lot; access includes a ramp and drop-off point, and an accessible gender-neutral bathroom is inside near the entrance.
