About New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden

The New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden is a one-acre walled outdoor garden at Snug Harbor, inspired by classical gardens of Suzhou during the Ming Dynasty. Its landscape includes eight pavilions, bamboo-lined paths, waterfalls, ponds, scholar’s rocks, zigzagging bridges, a scholar’s study, tea room and tent pavilion. The garden has been used for gala events, weddings and dinners. It is at the southwest corner of the Snug Harbor campus, with an entrance at Cottage E.
