About Moreland Community Historical Society

The Moreland Community Historical Society operates the Historic Moreland Church of God Event Center, a restored 1882 church building offering rentable spaces for weddings, receptions, and other celebrations. The sanctuary features restored trompe l'oeil frescoes and a vintage chandelier, while the downstairs community room displays a pictorial timeline mural and includes a kitchenette and restrooms. Combined, these spaces accommodate up to 100 guests. A separate 1816 log cabin, reconstructed on the same grounds, provides a rustic setting for up to 20 guests. Tent rentals are available. The venue is handicap accessible via outside entrances, with limited handicap parking and valet parking at the renter's expense. Decorations must be approved, and no liquor sales are permitted, but guests may supply their own alcohol.
