About The Barnstone

The Barnstone is a renovated century-old Ohio barn on 50 acres outside Wooster, with landscaped lawns, seasonal flower beds, shade trees, cornfield views and open sky. Weddings and receptions can take place inside the barn or outdoors in the greenspace beneath oak trees. The 2,400-square-foot barn accommodates up to 175 guests; it has ceiling fans and ventilation but no central heating or air conditioning. The venue provides tables and chairs, and the attached deck offers an additional dining area and sunset views. Other spaces include the Carriage House, used for cocktails, appetizers and bar gatherings; a private, heated and air-conditioned Bridal Suite in the Summerhouse; and heated and air-conditioned Groomsmen Quarters in a renovated former chicken house. The barn and restrooms are handicap accessible, and guest parking includes an attendant and dedicated accessible spaces. Couples may choose their own caterer; food must be prepared offsite, except for outside grilling or smoking. Alcohol may be served but not sold, and service must end 30 minutes before the event concludes. Open-flame candles are not permitted.
