Luna Valley Farm
Wedding venue in Decorah, Iowa
About Luna Valley Farm
Luna Valley Farm is a certified organic working farm in Pleasant Township, Decorah, Iowa, where cattle and sheep are raised on pasture. The farm runs public wood-fired pizza nights on a reservation basis; the 2026 pizza season ran from May through October, with October 17 as the final pizza day of the year. The main gathering space is an open-air, covered 40x60 pavilion that seats about 150 people, with picnic tables for guests, and guests are welcome to bring blankets, chairs and card tables. Groups can reserve long tables under the pavilion: a large table seats 36 full or 15 to 18 half, and a medium table seats 24 full or 10 to 12 half. Reserved tables are placed under the pavilion in rain or shine. The on-site farm store, the Pleasant General Store, is open whenever pizza is served. Celebrations are welcomed as casual group gatherings during public pizza nights, typically for groups of 10 to 60 people, including rehearsal dinners, family reunions, anniversary and graduation parties. The farm has hosted a handful of weddings in the past but is not currently booking weddings; couples whose wedding weekend brings them to Decorah are invited to consider a rehearsal or welcome dinner. Food is wood-fired pizza with local beer, cider and natural wine, and outside alcohol is not permitted.
