The Lake County Historical Society operates the Lake County History Center on an 8-acre campus in Painesville Township, Ohio. The property includes a museum, Pioneer Village, and multiple rentable event spaces set within historic grounds. The main building, constructed in 1876, houses exhibition galleries, a research library, and community meeting rooms. For private events, the venue offers the Barber Event Barn (capacity 100, with full kitchen, air conditioning, and heat), Heritage Hall (capacity 70–80, with a full kitchen), an outdoor Pavilion (with electricity and picnic tables), and a Speakeasy/Pub in the basement (capacity 68). The barn and grounds are described as ideal for weddings, receptions, parties, and corporate events. Renters may bring their own catering and tents. Tables and chairs are provided; linens are available for an additional fee. Parking is available on-site. The museum is open Tuesday and Thursday 10am–4pm; event rentals are scheduled separately.
