About John Hay Estate at The Fells
The John Hay Estate at The Fells is a historic lakeside estate on Lake Sunapee, with a 22-room Colonial Revival mansion, gardens, grounds, and an event pavilion. Weddings are scheduled from mid-June through early October, with outdoor ceremony locations and options for receptions in the pavilion, on the veranda, or at select garden and lawn sites. The enclosed Timberpeg Pavilion accommodates up to 200 guests and has a catering kitchen, restrooms, and a gas fireplace; its side panels can be closed in inclement weather. Outdoor choices include the Rose Terrace, Old Garden, North Lawn, Perennial Border, South Field, and Veranda. The wedding rental includes access to the pavilion, kitchen and pantry, gardens, grounds, restrooms, parking areas, tables and chairs, and a dedicated changing room. The estate does not offer on-site accommodations.
