Cygnet Theatre is based at The Joan and Irwin Jacobs Performing Arts Center in Arts District Liberty Station, San Diego. It is reached from I-5 and I-8 and is minutes from downtown San Diego and the airport. The Joseph Clayes III Theatre is a 282-seat proscenium house for rentals. The Dorothea Laub Theater, known as the Dottie Studio Theatre, is a flexible black box of 138 to 156 seats whose configuration follows the production schedule. The Conrad Prebys Lobby holds 150 guests for receptions and gatherings, and the Wagner Rehearsal Hall holds 153 for rehearsals, classes and workshops. Spaces are rented for receptions, private celebrations, holiday parties, corporate presentations, awards ceremonies, conferences and other events, with a dedicated events team coordinating planning through performance. Because of the year-round production schedule, rentals are generally limited to weekday daytime events and select evenings. The outdoor patio can serve as a pre-show private party setting for groups of 15 or more.
