About Curate

Curate is an event venue in Des Moines’ East Village with two rentable spaces that can be configured for weddings and other events. Its indoor rooms connect through a pass-through hallway that can be closed with soundproofing for separate events; the Studio Room’s glass garage doors open onto a wrap-around patio. The venue describes the spaces as suitable for outdoor ceremonies or cocktail hours followed by indoor receptions, and accommodates events of 40 to 400 guests. The Gallery Room includes a private 450-square-foot wedding party suite; the 2,000-square-foot Studio Room can also be rented as a bridal suite. In-house catering and bar service, event planning, setup and teardown, tables, chairs, custom lighting, Wi-Fi, and built-in audio with wireless microphones are offered. Projectors and A/V services are available for a fee. Curate has a client parking lot and can arrange valet parking; nearby hotels and parking ramps offer additional options.
