Wedding venue in Waconia, Minnesota

About Carver County Historical Society
The Carver County Historical Society preserves the historic Andrew Peterson Farmstead on a 12‑acre property in Waconia, Minnesota. The site includes a fully restored 19th‑century house, the North Barn (restored in 2017) and a rehabilitated granary, all set amid historic farmland and the Scandia Baptist Cemetery. Walk‑on tours operate May through September, and the farm is available for wedding vows; a wedding and graduation party were held in the North Barn in 2017. Recent restoration work on the house (completed June 2024) and granary (2025) and a 2026 cultural‑landscape plan demonstrate ongoing maintenance and public access.
