Brigham County Park

About Brigham County Park

Brigham County Park is a 232-acre Dane County park northeast of the Village of Blue Mounds, with a panoramic view of the Wisconsin River Valley and a maple woodland along its nature trail. Its built spaces include two shelters, one a timber-frame structure built from trees harvested on Dane County Parks properties, both with electricity, plus a picnic area with outdoor grills, a play area, and a group camp area. A paved shared-use trail runs through the park, and hiking trails connect to Blue Mound State Park and the Military Ridge State Trail. Ceremonies and receptions at Dane County park properties require a Special Event Permit and are offered as one of three packages: a weekend package covering Friday through Sunday, including early shelter access for decorating and Sunday cleanup; a one-day package with shelter use from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and a ceremony-only option for ceremonies under 100 people in a park area without a shelter. Shelter use runs from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and the park closes at 10 p.m. Overnight options include a 23-unit rustic campground where electricity is available at a few sites and there are no showers, along with group camping available by advance reservation.
