About Belair Mansion

Belair Mansion is a historic house at 12207 Tulip Grove Drive in Bowie, Maryland, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built around 1745 for Provincial Governor Samuel Ogle and his wife, Anne Tasker Ogle, and was enlarged in 1914 by William Woodward, a 20th-century horseman. The house today reflects about 250 years of residential use. The City of Bowie operates it as a museum, and its collection interprets the lives of residents from 1747 to 1950, including furniture, family silver and paintings. The first floor is the rental area. The mansion can be rented for private functions, and its rooms include a Double Parlor and a Sun Room. Groups of up to 75 people can rent the mansion.
