About Windmill Hill Barn Weddings & Event Center

Located about three miles north of Manchester, Windmill Hill is a rustic barn venue with indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception options. Ceremonies can be held on either level of the barn, at the outdoor gazebo, or elsewhere on the property. The upper level has two restrooms, a bar, and two walkout decks; the lower level has a restroom, walkout deck, and kitchen. The barn is not air conditioned, but both levels have heating and fans are available in warm weather. Events are not held from November through March. The restored barn levels can seat up to 250 guests indoors, with space for up to 200 seated at tables upstairs and up to 50 downstairs; the FAQ states the venue can serve up to 300 people when combining both levels and outdoor seating. Tables and chairs are provided for up to 250 indoors, with additional seating for 50 or more on the outdoor patios and gazebo. A two-level patio between the barn and corn crib has tables, chairs, lighting, and space for 50 guests. The 18-foot grain-bin-style gazebo can be used for ceremonies or gathering outdoors. The renovated corn crib, 30 feet from the barn, contains a bridal suite, groom’s lounge, break area, and restroom; it is heated and air conditioned. Wedding packages include access to the barn, kitchen, restrooms, patios, corn crib spaces, and venue decorations. The kitchen has a sink, refrigerator, range with oven, microwave, and storage cupboards. Couples may bring their own caterer, food, alcohol, and other vendors; the venue does not provide catering or vendor services. A three-bedroom, two-bathroom house on the property is available with the top wedding package or as a separate rental, and can sleep 12 comfortably. The venue also offers a stair lift to the upper level, a wheelchair on request, parking for about 80 vehicles, and front-door drop-off for elderly or disabled guests.
