The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History occupies an architectural landmark on Independence Mall in Philadelphia's Historic District, at the corner of 5th and Market Streets, across from the Liberty Bell and within view of Independence Hall. The building offers 20,000 square feet of multi-purpose event space across five floors. The flagship room is a 7,000-square-foot ballroom with floor-to-ceiling wrap-around windows and an adjoining Toll Terrace. The ballroom seats 500 and accommodates receptions of up to 700. The indoor-outdoor space overlooks Independence Mall and offers a panoramic view of the Philadelphia skyline. Every rental includes creative and flexible menu planning, personal attention through the planning and production process, use of the dance floor, stage, tables and chairs, and use of the Museum's space for a marriage contract (ketubah) signing ceremony. Clients who want kosher functions can select Feast Your Eyes menus prepared with high-quality kosher caterers. Discounted parking is available at the Bourse Garage, one block from the Museum. Non-profit organizations receive a preferred rate, and a 10% discount applies to a customized ketubah from the Museum Store. The Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.
