About USU Ogden Botanical Gardens

USU Ogden Botanical Gardens is an 11-acre public garden at 1750 Monroe Blvd. in Ogden, Utah, set along the Ogden River. Its themed gardens include a rose garden with over 300 roses representing over 50 varieties, an Asian garden with a wooden bridge, pagoda and tea hut, a cottage garden, an edible garden, a pollinator garden, a water conservation garden, a water-wise perennial garden, a trough garden, an accessibility garden, a conifer collection and a powerline arboretum. The grounds also include a large lawn, picnic and grilling areas, and restrooms behind the large pavilion. The gardens are open from one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset. For events, the grounds offer a gazebo beside the rose garden, where many weddings are performed each year, along with an amphitheater and large and small outdoor pavilions. Events in the flower gardens are prohibited, and reservation guests are asked not to use confetti. Pavilion scheduling is handled through the Ogden City Parks & Cemetery Department.
