About Underwood Family Farms

Underwood Family Farms' Moorpark farm center, in the Tierra Rejada Valley of Ventura County, hosts private birthday and group parties on its working farm. The outdoor party space has two areas. The Barnyard area serves groups of 20 to 60 guests in a shaded setting with eight 8-foot picnic tables, four 8-foot serving tables, and trash and recycling receptacles, and red and white checkered tablecloths are provided. The Pony Paddock is a larger private picnic area behind the Barnyard, with its own parking lot and separate entrance, fourteen 8-foot picnic tables, four 8-foot serving tables, and three grass lawns. It accommodates groups of up to 200 guests. Parties are booked as three-hour blocks, with extensions available for an additional fee when the schedule allows. Packages include a tractor-drawn wagon ride around the farm, access to the Animal Center and ticketed activities, and a party host to help with arrival and setup. Pony Paddock packages add free guest parking and a VIP parking spot for the birthday family. Pony rides and animal encounters can be added. Guests may bring their own food, have food delivered, or hire a caterer, and outside vendors must provide liability insurance. Decorating is permitted with tape, push pins, and string, but confetti, staples, and piñatas are not allowed. Alcohol, smoking, and vaping are not permitted within the farm gates, and dogs are not allowed.
