About Tomahawk Hills Golf Course

Tomahawk Hills Golf Course is a public 18-hole course in Shawnee, Kansas, built in 1910. The course plays to a par 70 and has Zoysia grass fairways, Bent grass greens and a driving range. The clubhouse is a prairie-style building of about 5,847 square feet that opened in March 2011. It includes a pro shop, a lounge and a patio overlooking the putting green, first tee and the No. 9 and No. 18 greens. The Elmridge Room is a reservation-only event room in the clubhouse that holds up to 150 guests lecture style and 120 comfortably. It has chairs, tables, internet access, a catering bar, a kitchenette with a microwave, sink and refrigerator, and a patio overlooking the golf course. It is an open-vendor room, so renters bring their own food and beverage, including alcohol, and set up their own table layout. Rentals are priced by the hour or by the day. An 8,000-square-foot putting green sits beside the clubhouse, and the driving range is open from dawn until about an hour before sunset. Private lessons are offered through the golf shop's PGA professionals.
