The Tanglewood is a historic boutique hotel and event venue on the courthouse square in downtown Versailles, in a National Register Historic District. The restored building combines exposed brick, original tin ceilings and post-and-beam construction with indoor event spaces and a courtyard. Weddings and other events can use the theater ballroom, buggy shop and courtyard; the venue accommodates up to 200 seated guests indoors, with the courtyard able to accommodate an additional 60. Event packages include tables, chairs, a ceremony and dinner audio system, a prep kitchen, ADA-accessible restrooms, and a bridal party lounge with four hair and makeup stations. Renters provide alcohol and a bartender in accordance with Indiana law. The hotel has six guest rooms, including a first-floor ADA-compliant room; event packages include two nights in the rooms for up to 18 guests. The five second-floor rooms require stair access, and the building has no elevator.
