About The Maverick

The Maverick is a boutique hotel and event venue in the historic former YMCA building at 120 S. Whitfield Street in Pittsburgh's East End. The building's nearly 120 years of history is reflected in its architecture, including original details from the early 1900s in its two event spaces. The property has 63 guest rooms and suites. The event spaces are The Gymnasium, with an old-school feel and a capacity of 300 depending on event type, and The Ballroom, which has crown molding, high ceilings and a built-in stage and a capacity of 150 depending on event type. Both spaces include a catering kitchen and prep space. Hey Babe, an onsite restaurant and cocktail bar, serves seasonal bites and craft beverages.
