The International Plaza

Wedding venue in Rochester, New York

About The International Plaza

The International Plaza is an outdoor, Latin-themed event space and marketplace at 828 North Clinton Avenue in Rochester's North Clinton neighborhood. The grounds combine pop-up tents and carts with more permanent vendor locations in repurposed shipping containers and retail pods, along with a performance pavilion and dedicated restrooms. From May through October the Plaza hosts free cultural events, most of them on Sundays. The Plaza can be rented by permit for private and public events, including weddings, and whole-site rental is offered to organizations. Rentals are priced in 12-hour blocks that include setup and cleanup, with a separate $500 surcharge for weddings. Permittees supply their own tents, chairs, tables, equipment, food, drink and entertainment, and must carry liability insurance naming the City of Rochester. The City provides one security officer, cleaned restrooms, trash and recycling containers, and access to electricity and water as agreed. Availability is at the discretion of the City's market staff, and the Plaza is not available for special events on Sundays from April through November or on Thursdays from April through October.
