About The Historic Herring House
The Historic Herring House is a 1916 Classical Revival home with leaded-glass windows, Corinthian columns, original wood floors and chandeliers, and a wraparound porch. Wedding spaces include the home’s entry hall, staircase, music room, parlor, and formal dining room; an outdoor ceremony area beneath longleaf pines; and a 24-by-34-foot gazebo opening onto a quarter-acre lawn. Couples can choose indoor or outdoor ceremony settings, with the indoor ceremony option described for up to 20 seated guests or 30 standing guests. The Cake and Punch option accommodates up to 30 guests, with a stated maximum of 50 including additional guests. Wedding offerings range from an elopement experience to estate rental and a Cake and Punch celebration. Estate rental includes access to the house and bridal suite, plus one or two additional spaces, and allows couples to bring their own vendors, style, and coordinator. Tables, chairs, and post-event cleanup are included in that offering. The Cake and Punch option includes a four-hour venue window, bridal-suite access, florals, cake, refreshments, place settings, sparkling-cider toast, music, a day-of coordinator, and setup and cleanup.
