The George and Madcap Lounge occupy a restored 1880s building in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point neighborhood. The George Ballroom features preserved historic architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows, crystal chandeliers, regional artwork and a neutral palette. It accommodates up to 160 for a seated dinner or 200 for a cocktail party. The below-street-level Madcap Lounge has connected library, bar and billiards spaces, with vintage décor, warm lighting and intimate seating; it accommodates up to 40 for dinner or 120 for a cocktail party. The ballroom and lounge can be combined, and weddings may use the ballroom for the ceremony and reception with cocktail hour in the lounge during a room changeover. Suite 1882 is available as a getting-ready room during wedding bookings and can also be reserved for small gatherings. Shully’s Cuisine and Events exclusively provides food and beverages, including alcohol; outside wedding cake, dessert and late-night food are permitted. Tables, chairs, furniture and existing décor are included in the venue rental. The venue has a wheelchair ramp and elevator. Events must end by midnight; the venue is smoke-free, and nearby street parking and paid public lots are available.
