Set at the head of Sebago Lake, Sunningdale Lodge is a seasonal event destination with lake, sunset and distant Mount Washington views. Weddings can use different areas of the property for different parts of a celebration: the front lawn for ceremonies, the boathouse for cocktail hour, the Rec Hall or a tent on the lawn for receptions, and the Main Lodge front room for rehearsal dinners. The Rec Hall also hosts receptions, dinners, performances and meetings. The Main Lodge includes a Great Room, modern kitchen, dining tables for 60 or more, and eight bedrooms. Six cabins sleep four to five people each; the FAQ estimates around 40 overnight guests in the Lodge and cabins combined. Other spaces include a 1,000-square-foot boathouse, a screened-in Craft House, a cottage, a Game Cabin and a lakeside fire pit. The FAQ gives wedding capacity as around 150, depending on where events are held. The property is available for extended event rentals from the first weekend in June through Labor Day weekend; the renter arranges catering and other services, with recommendations available on request.
