About Stewart Inn Hotel Downtown Wausau

The Stewart Inn is a boutique hotel and small-event venue in a restored 1906 Prairie-style mansion in downtown Wausau. Its historic interiors include original stained glass, woodwork, fireplaces and chandeliers. The living room, dining room, media room, library, landing and foyer provide event space for intimate wedding celebrations and other gatherings. The inn lists capacity for up to 75 guests for an indoor standing-style event, or 16 for a formal indoor sit-down dinner; use of the side porch and patio may allow additional guests when accessible. Guest rooms offer overnight accommodations, and the inn recommends renting all rooms for an event unless it is short and small. Outside caterers and other event vendors are permitted; the inn cannot prepare event meals or serve liquor.
