Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park is a 112-acre outdoor setting with more than 40 garden areas. The grounds are described as a destination for weddings, retreats, meetings, and other special events. Main paths are hard surfaced, with some slight inclines and wood-chip paths within several gardens. Free parking is available, and visitors may picnic and use grills or picnic tables. Restrooms are available in the Botanical Center and Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden Pavilion.
