About Rushwood Barn

Rushwood Barn is a 1907 timber-frame venue on ten hilltop acres in Rush. The barn has original plank floors, 40-foot ceilings, a main floor for dinner and dancing, a built-in bar, and a loft overlooking the reception. It seats up to 170 for dinner, with room for dancing and the bar; the deck and grounds can be tented for larger groups. Indoor ceremonies can be arranged in the barn if weather changes. Outdoor ceremony settings include a hilltop gazebo, a deck with views toward the Bristol and Lima hills, and a lower meadow for larger gatherings. The gazebo seats up to 110, and the deck accommodates up to around 200. Saturday weddings include exclusive use of the barn and grounds Friday and Saturday, plus the five-bedroom guest house Thursday through Sunday. Sunday weddings include use of the barn and grounds on the wedding day, with guest house access available the night before, the night of, or both. The guest house has five queen bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, wraparound deck, common area, laundry, and a spa room with a built-in hot tub, sauna, wet bar, and shower. The venue provides tables, chairs, string lights, draping, on-site parking, a bridal suite with private bath, ADA-accessible restrooms, commercial heating, and in-house bar service. Couples arrange catering with a licensed, insured caterer, along with photography, entertainment, florals, and any additional rentals. On-site support is available during planning; day-of coordination and cleanup depend on the package or add-ons.
