About Roots Inn & Kitchen

Roots Inn & Kitchen is a 1902 historic inn and kitchen in downtown Sister Bay, steps from the beach, music pavilion, restaurants, bars, and shops. Its six second-floor bedrooms each have a private bath, and guests receive breakfast and access to a complimentary rotating alcoholic and nonalcoholic cooler. The inn is adult-only, with guests ages 13 and older by inquiry, and does not accept pets. For intimate private events, the rentable Kitchen includes the 1902 indoor pub and elevated deck dining space. The venue can also arrange rentals of the Kitchen, the Inn, or the full property, with a custom menu planned around dietary needs. Private parties are capped at 25 people because of the weather plan; Roots holds a beer-and-wine license and books a limited number of events per season.
