Ridgefield is a gated, private 80-acre redwood estate in Arcata, centered on a historic colonial home. Ceremonies are held in the Redwood Grove beneath old-growth trees or at The Arbors in a sheltered garden setting. Receptions can move among the stone terrace, gardens, lawn, lounge deck and string-lit reception tent, which can be enclosed for inclement weather. The event spaces are within a short walk of one another, and the estate hosts one wedding at a time. The venue offers single-day weddings for up to 150 guests, weekday elopements and micro-weddings for up to 25 guests (or 35 for an additional fee), and multi-day Weekend Retreats. Packages include in-house planning and event staff, standard rentals, catering and bar service; DJ service is included with larger packages. On-site lodging for up to 14 guests combines the Main House and Wild Iris Suite. Guests also have access to two getting-ready rooms, private trails, on-site parking, accessible main event spaces and restrooms, and shuttle arrangements. The estate is about one mile from downtown Arcata and eight miles from Arcata-Eureka Airport.
