About Prairie Glass House

Set in 17 acres of old-growth forest on the edge of Champaign, Prairie Glass House is a private residence available for weddings and other events. Its curved glass-walled house opens onto the grounds, which include a pond with a jetty, a meditation hut and a pyramid. The house seats 30 for a meal; up to 150 people can gather seated or standing inside and outside, and a tent beside the house can accommodate up to 300 seated. The venue provides tables, chairs, table settings and linens for hire, along with a shaded parking lot, passenger drop-off and disabled parking at the house. House packages include use of a commercial-style kitchen, indoor and outdoor sound system, Wi-Fi and a one-hour weekday rehearsal. Couples may choose their own caterer or bring their own food.
